succeet award 2025
SUCCEET-AWARD 2025
When was the last time you pitched your proposed solution to 100 potential clients?
For the second time, there will be a competition for exhibiting agencies and market research service providers at succeet25 in Wiesbaden: the succeet award.
In principle, the competition is structured very similarly to Kaggle. This is a website where a current problem is addressed on the basis of a briefing and developers can submit their solution in a competition.
Together with a group of Insights Managers from Miele, Rewe Group, Congstar and Johnson & Johnson, as well as the German National Tourist Board, two specific briefings were developed that address current open and unresolved issues in market and opinion research:
Briefing 1: Inclusive market research
Inclusion in market research has different facets. Basically, it is about enabling all people, regardless of age, gender, origin, abilities and skills, to participate in surveys. “Inclusion is when everyone can take part.” Looking at current market research practice, it quickly becomes clear that various subgroups are consciously or unconsciously excluded from surveys.
The study aims to achieve two objectives in two modules:
Module 1: To demonstrate in an empirically robust manner which groups are currently systematically excluded from market research studies: Which people do not (or no longer) take part in market research studies? Are we excluding people who are structurally different in their attitudes or behavior? This can be done either on the basis of existing data or by conducting a corresponding study.
Module 2: The second objective is to show which methods could be used in future to include groups that have been systematically excluded to date. The aim is to develop proposals and solutions for making market research studies more inclusive. Quantitative and mixed-mode survey methods can be used here.
The award is supported by the Rewe Group.
Briefing 2: Creativity in the preparation of results
Communicating the results of a market research study to the recipient group is becoming an ever greater challenge in view of the decreasing attention span of readers and the multitude of communication channels. Reports in PowerPoint are now only skimmed over. A presentation of results, if there is one at all, no longer takes place in person, but in virtual meetings, where attention has generally also decreased.
The study aims to find answers to the following questions:
- How can results from market research studies be prepared in such a way that they lead to activation among recipients?
- Which methods and media are recommended for communicating study results in the future?
- In addition, insights should be gained into how the results can be distributed to different target groups in the company (C-level, sales, marketing, etc.).
Who can take part in the succeet award?
All agencies, start-ups and companies exhibiting at succeet25 can take part in the succeet Award. Several agencies and companies can also take part in the competition together. An institute can also apply for both briefings.
How can an exhibitor participate?
Send your proposal to award(at)succeet.de by the application deadline on January 12, 2025. Your proposal should be in writing and submitted as a pdf file. The length should not exceed a total of 10 A4 pages and should include at least a rough calculation of costs and schedule.
How can I clarify queries?
If you have any questions about the competition or one of the briefings, please send them by e-mail to award(at)succeet.de by December 9, 2024 at the latest. We will get back to you within a few days.
How is the winner of the succeet award determined?
All submissions for the succeet Award will be reviewed in advance by an expert jury consisting of corporate market researchers. The three most convincing solutions per briefing (i.e. 2x3 exhibitors in total) will present their proposal live at succeet25 in Wiesbaden. The audience, consisting of potential clients, will vote live for the winner using mobile voting. There will be one winner for each briefing, so there will be two winners of the succeet award 2025.
Why should an exhibitor take part in the pitch?
If you are shortlisted, you will be given the opportunity to present your proposed solution to around 60-100 potential clients. Audience members must register in advance and will only be admitted by succeet GmbH if they belong to the “corporate market researchers” target group. All agencies that make it to the final selection will subsequently receive the contact details of the audience. In addition, two employees from these companies will be allowed to take part in the respective award session.
As an additional incentive, the winners of each briefing will receive the succeet award in the form of a trophy. Coverage of the succeet award will appear on marktforschung.de and in the succeet newsletter.
Will the competition be held in German or English?
You can present in German or English. Your proposal can also be submitted in either German or English.
What are the deadlines?
December 09, 2024: Last opportunity to ask questions
January 12, 2025: End of the application period - we must receive your written proposal by then.
